About the Inclusive Innovation Monitor
The Team
This is a joint project between the Brookfield Institute for Innovation + Entrepreneurship (BII+E) at Ryerson University and the Innovation Policy Lab (IPL) at the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy. This project benefited from the contributions of Joshua Zachariah, Erin Warner, Dr. Daniel Munro, Nisa Malli, Lianne George, Sarah Doyle, and Dr. Dan Breznitz. We are grateful to our advisors, John Knubley (InnovActionJK; former Deputy Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada) and Armine Yalnizyan (Canadian Association for Business Economics), and to the students of the Inclusive Innovation Scorecards course at the Munk School for helping to shape this project.
The Brookfield Institute for Innovation + Entrepreneurship (BII+E) is an independent, non-partisan policy institute, housed at Ryerson University. We transform bold ideas into real-world solutions designed to help Canada navigate the complex forces and astounding possibilities of the innovation economy. We envision a future that is prosperous, resilient and equitable. For more information, visit brookfieldinstitute.ca.
The Innovation Policy Lab is a research hub within the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy. The lab’s mission is to study, teach, and apply novel methods and disciplines to the study of innovation and its impact on growth and society. We know we don't have all the answers and we're always looking to collaborate with experts and organizations in the ecosystem. This project is a living, growing repository for data and analysis of inclusive innovation in Canada. Our plan is to expand and enhance this dashboard as new data becomes available. If you are interested in getting involved, please reach out to Nisa Malli, BII+E's Inclusive + Innovative Economy Work Stream Manager.
